Amazing product and brilliant bang-for-your-buck
I purchased this in January, 2009 to add some additional value to my Netflix subscription. It has far surpassed my expectations, and has proven to be one of the best $100 I have spent in a long time. This is true especially in a down economy.Here are the pluses, and the minuses, I have seen in the product after 2 months of daily usePluses:1) Huge money saver: Having this box has allowed me to drop from 3 disks unlimited to 1 disk unlimited as well as drop cable entirely. My best-spent entertainment dollar ever!
I was already a rent-by-mail convert -- switching between Blockbuster and Netflix for a couple of years. For an extra $99, this box has already piped in hundreds of hours of tv shows and movies, filling in the wait times between disks. The Netflix instant movie selection started out not great, but recently they have rotated in some big films like the Lord of the Rings trilogy, pop hits like Superbad, the original "Grindhouse" double feature package, as well as lots of older and more obscure releases for adventurous cineastes like me, with NO extra charge to a regular Netflix membership. The addition of Amazon streams will soon make a good thing even better, and more providers should be coming into the mix soon. Kill the cable
This little box rocks. I have killed of all but my local channels on cable. This may have been the best $99. I have spent in years. My sons and I use it everyday. At first I was concerned about content, but there are like 12000 things to choose from...We have watched season 1,2 and in the process of season 3 of Heroes. You have no idea how cool it is to see shows like this with no commercials. Tons of movies to choose from. I really like the fact that the company has more than delivered on what they promised. I bought the box to add to my Netflix and now I can get amazon video on demand as well, and it didn't cost anything for the upgrade. An "Okay" 'Pretty Good' DTV converter box by COBY
Converter boxes will become increasingly scarce next few months. Prefered brands sold out on Amazon, so got this one. ALLOWS Analog PassThrough. It does have menu choise to set Time Zone, but NO option to Turn Off Day-Light Savings which may be issue in Arizona. The "Program Guide" will only go ONE program into future (some brands go 3 - 4 hours ahead) Big annoyance, is the COBY Remote that comes with it, TURNS OFF Sanyo TV its connected to, when you push "Up Channel" button! and other buttons on COBY remote cause various menus & input channels on TV to pop up at inopportune times! I've notice COBY remote for DVD player I have does same thing on TVs in Hotel Rooms! I DID like the menu option that lets you program screen orientation (widescreen, letterbox, full) to be "Set By Program" which is where I set it. One odd thing about this DTV box (I have 3 other brands and they just have visual) is for the Channel Signal Strength Bar it ALSO has audible BEEPING coinciding with signal...

Great HDMI Switch
I was very impressed when I got this switch. It autoswitches when only one input is has video on it. If you have video on all inputs you have to switch it. It works off USB 5V, and needs no external power to work.

Bought this at Retail store during the switch over to cable tv only. Works the way it should. The use of TV cable its not as clear it should be, but neither is my TV high resolution to begin with. I found a few channels using this box that wasn't seen on before with just plain TV antenna. It must have converted the signals somehow.

Provides DVD quality picture
At first the converter did not get many stations and I saw some frozen images - but I noticed the message that the signal was weak. I called Access HD to complain. It turns out the FCC's own data shows at least 30% of TV owners will need a new antenna to get a good picture. Access HD identified the correct antenna using a zip code look-up plus a verification using Google Earth (look at surrounding trees and buildings). It was awesome. Got the new antenna and I get more stations than I have ever received before - with DVD quality picture. I am sure most of the complaints you hear about converters of all brands are not converter problems at all, but antenna problems! The before and after performance with a good antenna is amazing.

I purchased this using one of the government coupons to upgrade one of my TV's that does not have a digital tuner built in. The short of it is that it does work; just not as good as I had hoped.The positive is that the picture using the RCA outputs is good. Almost as good as a decent DVD player. It has an onscreen guide that will show you what is currently on a selected channel as well as what is on for the next few hours. The set up was easy using the onscreen guide and it found all the channels my other digital TV with the built in tuner found.Now the bad. For some reason it has this kind of high-pitched buzz on every channel. It increases with the volume. It is there with both outputs and is incredibly annoying. It does get hot as noted in other reviews but not so hot as to pose a threat or hazard. The remote is terrible and is not always responsive and the unit takes a minute to boot up.The bottom line is that this unit would work great...

According to the series' promos, this will be the year Walt becomes the real force. I don't doubt that.However, this amazing episode leads us into Season 4 seamlessly, and yet plays with every expectation we had from the adrenaline explosion that ended Season 3. Can I give it six stars instead? How about seven?
I've seen every episode of Breaking Bad and season 4 is without a doubt the best, as well as some of the best TV ever. It's riveting in every way. The show has always had great acting and interesting characters, but season 4 has much tighter plots and dialogue than in previous seasons.Without revealing too much, in season 4 Gus Fring proves to be one of the most compelling and memorable characters in the history of television; his henchman Mike is perfectly menacing yet human and understated; the Mexican cartel rears its ugly head; Skyler gets with the program; Hank keeps sniffing around the edges; Jesse goes off the deep end; Sol gets worried; Tio [Hector] Salamanca comes up big; and Walter becomes a man we never expected.This is the kind of TV that you hold your breath while watching.
