Green Finger Syndrome
This tool is very useful and does a great job of helping to easily open jump rings once you get the hang of it. My ring has two different sized slots for different gauges of jump rings. My only problems with it are that the edges are not rounded which can lead to it digging in the part of your finger that you put pressure on when twisting the rings open and that it is made of cheap metal which turns your finger green after extended use.

No more scraggly nails from trying to open jump rings :)
I have thin nails and kept tearing them trying to open jump rings for pendants. This tool works very well, but on the thinner jump rings it springs it open a little too much and the metal doesn't spring back.I haven't tried it on heavier ones (stainless), but I imagine it would probably work very well. So...it DOES open jump rings, but it leaves gaps once you're done that could allow the pendant to work it's way back off. It didn't give any instructions with it so I could just be doing it wrong.
